I've only met Jennifer ,Owner & Creative Director of Hazel Wood Children via e-mail but Heather (the founder and creative director of Blessed Nest) is friends with this amazing, creative momma! Heather has been walking with Jennifer on this journey of creating her wonderful on-line store. Heather had the pleasure of working as a stylist with Jennifer helping to put together the photo shoot. Heather spoke of Hazel Wood Children often. She would always say," I can't wait until they launch the site. You will be amazed!" That is putting it mildly. I have worked in the children's clothing industry for about 20 years and I can honestly say that this on-line store is one of the most amazing that I have seen! Of course I absolutely love their product mix but what stands out to me is that their quality, look and product mix tell the story of their vision. Jennifer speaks about her journey on the site...
"As a new mother with a background in design, I avidly searched for products that spoke of beauty and the human connection to nature; I wanted them to embody elements I wished to instill in my child so that he would learn to embrace values of aesthetic beauty, the inspiration and sustainability of nature, and ethics that correspond to both. I ventured upon a paltry few items that met my criteria, but found myself asking why it is that such products scarcely exist. When they do, they are most often made for adults, and not children."
